Evolved Systems Scandinavia AB Signs Major Contract for Delivery of Apid M200 UAV Systems to Thai MECC
Linköping, Sweden – April 30, 2025
Evolved Systems Scandinavia AB is proud to announce that the company has signed a major contract with the Thai Ministry of Energy, Communication, and Commerce (MECC). Under the agreement, Evolved Systems Scandinavia will deliver its advanced helicopter-based UAV systems, the Apid M200, to support MECC’s growing operational needs.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in Evolved Systems Scandinavia’s growth and strengthens the company’s position as a leading provider of innovative unmanned systems. The Apid M200 is designed for a wide range of missions and offers exceptional operational reliability, endurance, and flexibility in challenging environments.
“We are honored by the trust that Thai MECC has placed in us,” says Mikael Taveniku, CEO of Evolved Systems Scandinavia AB. “Our Apid platform is developed with operational flexibility at its core, and we are proud to contribute to MECC’s future success.”
A spokesperson from MECC’s procurement committee adds:
“We look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with Evolved Systems Scandinavia AB. In the evaluation, which included several international manufacturers, Schiebel emerged as Apid M200’s main competitor. The final decision came down to these two, with the Apid M200 outperforming Schiebel’s system across all criteria—ultimately securing our choice. The future developments around the Apid platform are very exciting for us and will be critical in enhancing our operational capabilities.”
Deliveries under the agreement are scheduled to begin later this year, with full operational deployment expected in 2026.
The agreement with MECC underscores Evolved Systems Scandinavia’s commitment to supporting international partners with leading UAV technology and stands as clear evidence of the growing global recognition of Swedish aerospace innovation.
